Vision & Mission
All organizations must have a purpose and a specific vision of what is to be accomplished through and by the organization. The St. Tammany Elder Abuse Support Team, after careful discussion and consideration, established cornerstone values that were refined into the vision and mission of the Team.
The values are:
- To value collaborative action focused on results with a commitment to working together to make a demonstrative difference for older adults so that they can live safe and secure lives, free from all abuse
- To value the lives of our Elders and believe in preserving a high quality of life for them, with a future of safety, understanding, dignity and health
- To value the inherent self worth of our Elders developed through their wisdom, knowledge and contributions to our lives.
The Vision is posted here so anyone can immediately learn about the purpose of the Team.
Our vision statement calls for the development of a community where our elders are respected, valued, treated with dignity, and protected from abuse, neglect and exploitation.
With the values defined and the vision statement established, the St. Tammany Elder Abuse Support Team has established a clear, concise mission statement that incorporates the appropriate concepts to aggressively pursue fulfillment of the organizational vision.
Our mission is to create safe environments for our Elders by developing community partnerships to prevent and stop elder abuse, neglect and exploitation, through education, public awareness, intervention, advocacy, and resource development.
We invite you to join us in our efforts to satisfy our mission and fulfill our vision.
